What I want my life to be really like..

There is so much I want to be doing in my life.

I want to be HAPPY always. I want to be crazy and funny, no matter how old I am. I want my mind to be filled with ecstasy, every minute.

I want to be famous. People should know my name without asking me. I want to inspire people, with my work, words, anything. Just inspiration. People should see me and say "Do something like her". They should feel proud of me.

I want to educate a homeless or an orphan, make a difference to such souls. I want to do make the old and needy, and even the disabled people feel that they are not alone in this world, they have me. I want to make them always feel good. I want to change their world for good.

I want to travel the world goes without saying. Want to visit every place and admire the nature and its magic.

I need my life to be like a fairy-tale, where everything is just so perfect. I want to be cherished. I want to be loved by people in the same way like my family loves me. I want to be good to everyone. I want to keep people happy in my company.I want to be LOVED and treated with a smile :)

Plan-A, Plan-B or you have 24 other ways to Plan

Plan first. When you lie down on bed for sleeping at night think about what you are going to finish tomorrow. Have a check list on how much have you proceeded. Be determined and focus. Most important thing is to plan small so that you can get it done no matter what. Never give yourself excuses for not getting it done. In case you are confused and multiple things are going in your mind, close your eyes, roll up for few seconds till you comfortable. This relaxes you and you do not think about anything. After 10 seconds magically your brain is blank and you have cleared all the random thoughts and you can start doing your work again.

GraceHopper Conference 2013, Bangalore

GraceHopper Conference, 2013 gave an opportunity to listen and network with all sections of the "computing" community. It helped in connecting us, inspired and guided us in terms of career in computing organisations. We met successful women in technology, discovered new techniques, found sources of inspiration and opportunities for collaboration.
We had a keynote speaker who really motivated us how to look at the "big picture", how to deal with small setbacks or how failure doesn't matter when we see ten or twenty years down the line. Along with the technical sections like big data, hacking, workshop on raspberry pi etc, we also had various sessions on leadership, emotional competence for stress management and others. Team leaders from various panel solved our Q&A and told us how their own companies and organisations help you and shape your career.
In the exhibition hall, I would like to start with Microsoft stall. It was a super-duper stall. With all props and snapshot, we had so many people excited around. it gathered lot of appraisals. People participated in playing a game on xbox and received goodies too. They tried hands on windows tablet and cool laptops having windows 8.1. We went around visiting other stalls of different organisations in software industry, participating in quizzes, solving puzzles and collecting goodies. All in all, it was a good networking and opportunity to meet people and talk to them.

Summer Internship with CERN

CERN is the European Organisation for Nuclear Research. I got an opportunity to do an internship at the most advanced scientific research lab on the planet. It was a dream come true to enter the premises of CERN and work here, albeit contributing very little to this large project.
I worked in the ALICE Department on the project of implementing new commands in the AliEn (Alice Environment) Shell. Since it was related to my field of study, I enjoyed my work here. I learnt many things while doing my project, which included learning about grid computing and how the data is distributed worldwide. It gave me the experience of working in the field of research, which will help me in my higher studies.
My supervisor was so intelligent and was perfect in knowledge. It was so inspiring to work with him. Not only did he encourage me about my work but also told me about other exciting things to do, such as mountain hiking, paragliding, scuba-diving etc. and other places to visit. What a wonderful feeling it was to travel daily on CERN bikes from France (where I stayed for two months, in the apartment located close to the French-Swiss border) to Geneva, to go to work!
Attending the seminars and lectures, visiting the experimental sites and ALICE control room all added more interest and inspiration to work. Going at R1 (Restaurant 1 at the main building) for lunch and meeting new people and discussing ideas about the work was so exciting. The barbecues held were very fantastic. It helped to meet more people, colleagues and friends. Everything was so organized and pleasant. Each time it felt like I had learnt some more. During the weekends we used to go Geneva city with friends for summer sightseeing and enjoying Switzerland’s chocolates and food. I even visited Paris, Venice, Austria and Italy on weekends. Europe is such a lovely place.
It is a completely new world inside CERN. Varied in place, culture and thoughts but with a common goal in mind, to unveil the mysteries of physics and understand the universe a little more. Here I met people from all different places: Hungary, Ukraine, Romania, Spain, France, New York and, of course, India. It was such a pleasure meeting people from the world and getting to know their work and background. I had lots of beautiful enriching memories which will be cherished and mesmerized upon for my lifetime.
P.S: If someone is curious about how I got this internship, it is that my college, NIT Durgapur, sends four B.Tech, pre-final year students to CERN every year. It is a college-funded internship and I was really very lucky to get through the interview held at my college.

My article about my experience got published on the CERN's ALICE site too, and here is the link for it http://alicematters.web.cern.ch/?q=Nikita_Agarwal

And everyone wants to be successful

A man can succeed at almost anything for which he has unlimited enthusiasm. One just needs to have immense faith in oneself and the ability to fight with the world, no matter whatever be the situation.

What u think is more important than anybody else in this world. No one can insult u unless ur consent..

If you make yourself feel uncomfortable, none can make u comfortable ever..

You just remember three things :
  • I am the best.
  • Today is my Day.
  • God is with me.
To WIN the GAME, just REMAIN in the Game and the belief in yourself will let u win automatically.

You should not let anyone discourage you.. everyone who got where he is had to begin where he was.

People are capable, (at any time in their lives), of doing what they dream of.

Your attitude defines the altitude in your life, so have a positive and carefree attitude. Your goal should just matter to u and nthing else that comes in between in the form of comments, hatred, and other negative energy.

Understand a Liar

The most thing hated by most of the persons is 'lies'. .

We try to stay away from liars, ignore them, criticize them.. But has anyone tried to understand a liar?
Yeah, i may be sounding a little awkward to u ppl, but do think urselves. . Someday u can be in a liar's shoes and then you will come to know how it feels to lie. .

A liar has several reasons to lie.
Some may be
He doesnt want to disclose the facts and is waiting for the right time to let u know. .
He doesnt want to hurt u. .
He may be ashamed to accept the thing he thinks he has done wrong. .
He doesnt think you to be the correct person to share his thoughts. .
He is afraid of the consequences that may take place. .
He feels that 'a lie ,which draws a smile is better than the truth , thats draws the tear . .
He may not be sure and replies in negative/affirmative. .
He may be just kidding which one has taken it to be serious. .

Therefore, i would like to say, that all liars are not worth to be hated. . if we try to know the reason behind the 'lies', i am sure most of us will not mind his/her lie. .its very hard to accept the white lie from both , the person who is close to us or from the known/unknown faces. . but it is the inner conflict that a liar struggles, fear of getting exposed :|

♥ Friends ♥

It feels as lonely as wrecked ship when u hav no friends around u ... with whom you can talk, share your feelings, tease them, shed tears, dance to the tunes of joy, ... It feels so secluded once you leave their company and come to some other world.. Obviously, you can always be in touch and keep in contact.. but gradually the bond of friendship, that closeness dies out. It becomes more and more difficult to keep that bond alive ... the reason may be that each one gets busy in their own lives , with new friends and relatives... I wish we never get parted with our golden friends whose presence is like the oil that keeps the lantern burning and removes the darkness from life :)
